I have serious questions about politics, from Dick Cheney to Ron Paul. Not idle musings, I jumped way into the deep end. I got my favorite picture of me ever taken in the mail last week. The Idaho RNC delegation - 5 of us holding "Peace" signs over our hearts. That was MY doing. :)
I waved signs, passed out DVDs and fliers, went door to door about 6 times in my precinct. I got my husband a PCP seat and both of us on the State Central Committee and both of us sent to the RNC. When I say I tried, I do not mean I talked to one neighbor and gave up. I am not giving up, but I am certain it is time to change tactics.

Why did Ron or Rand Paul not do a speech about this the other day? Ron did a "CIA Coup" speech, he got so close, why did not he not mention a court case? This is not crazy, or theory, it is a court finding of conspiracy at the highest levels of our government that was never investigated. Ron Paul was a Congressman when this case was heard, by the way.
Now, I am willing to take action, but I do not wish to take actions that uphold the lie. I do not find one lie preferable to another, I do not find "the greater good" to be anything but a positive spin on "the lesser evil." I seek to take RIGHT action, and right now I find any political activity to be another way of pretending their fantasy world is real.
I chose my "litmus test" for this election: They must be able to speak intelligently about 9-11. Not agree or disagree, no requirements for what they say, except it just needs to be intelligent. But as a question...and a serious question not for you but Rand and anyone else trying to knock a hole in the establishment wall...Why would you ever employ someone and put them in a position where they have direct influence and personal contact with voters that was in the same or higher positions with someone who you are "attacking" by offering up counter ideals? By attacking I don't mean that McConnell has any place in the race but as an establishment figurehead he represents the antithesis of what Rand represents and knowing how they operate why allow someone in your campaign that comes from that stock.
It makes no sense. People need to do a better job of vetting potential staffers.
You got to get in and change things from the inside.. Yeah.. well the same thing happened with the Paul Campaign if you remember. Hey I'm going to most likely get backing from the National Republican party after the primary.. why? Because they want me to beat Democrats.
It's the same thing with Ron Paul. he's the most Libertarian Republican, but he still has boundaries.

yeah I did, and I didn't see a problem with what he said, though I would have of course liked him to have not had to do it but you are right that's politics.
But what I'm saying is why bring this person into Rand's campaign in the first place, I understand that it got him a lot of contacts but at what price. It would have been better in my opinion to simply have not had her there at all. That's hindsight of course but principled.
As for the sabotage of the Paul campaign, that was just terrible, and because of the kind of person he is he wouldn't throw them out. That's a major character flaw that he has.
She did it to herself. That's the thing.. Rand is secure enough in who he is that he let her hang herself in this instance.
Think about his dad doing it for years on end.. It's tough to stand in your own skin and not retaliate. Takes a whole bunch of character especially when you're trying to get accepted.
